Long Run Goals:The primary goal of Alluri Institute of Management Sciences (AIMS)
is to develop this Institution as an excellent center in the field of IT in the long run.
The Institute aims at attaining National reputation with high academic competence in terms
of teaching and research. Further, AIMS would like to develop constant and continuous
Institution-Industry interface for the purpose of skill development of the students’
community and empower them to be globally competitive. Thus AIMS intends to contribute
its share for the emancipation of masses of this backwards region.
The other long-run goals of AIMS are as follows:
To manage IT-School of high repute.
To establish good rapport with Corporate.
To develop and strengthen Placement Cell with high-tech facilities in
order to cater to the needs of students’ community as per industry requirement.
To organize lectures by Guest Faculty from Industry, Academics and
from Institutes of national repute.
To develop and organize programs for improvement of communication
skills and personality development of the students.
To create and use high-tech infrastructure for improving
teaching-learning process.
To equip the Institute with the best infrastructure in terms of Building,
Library, Computer Labs and full-fledged IT Students’ Club.
To create an ambience conducive for attracting industry
for frequent Campus Placements.
To undertake utility oriented Research and Consultancy.
To enter into MOU with industry, trade, Business and Service sectors
for mutual benefit. It is also intended to undertake projects sponsored by
state and Central Governments for problem solving and research investigation.
To undertake community service projects for all-round development
of Andhra Pradesh.
Since the inception the Institute has achieved about 40% of the long-run goals.
In another 10 years, the Institute with proper strategy and its implementation
would like to achieve cent percent long-run goals. In the next decade AIMS would
like to emerge as an excellent center for the IT education at national level.
Short Run Goals:
To impart the best education to the student community by highly
qualified and efficient faculty at reasonable cost.

Frequent use of case method, Group discussion, Simulation and role-plays as important pedagogical tools besides
regular class room lecture.

Meet at State and National level.

Achieving competitive edge over IT colleges in the jurisdiction of
Kakatiya University interms of Building, Furniture, Library, Computer Labs,
Placement Cell and the teaching-learning process.
About 90% of the short-run goals are achieved by AIMS with constant effort of the management and faculty of the Institute will be able to achieve cent percent of the short-run goals within a period of three years.
The philosophy and pattern of technical education at this Institute has changed significantly since last five years. The college is using appropriate and latest tools and techniques to equip the student with deeper practical insight in various functional areas of IT. Practicing professionals from industries are invited every month to share their experiences with MCA students. The guest faculty from Corporates takes up and discusses live cases with students with the objective of improving problem solving and decision-making skills among the students’ community. There is a clear-cut shift from theory to practice during the last five years. The college would like to go on record that both the MBA & MCA programs offered at this institute has greater practical approach. The IT graduates of this college are trained and developed to face the challenges of the globalization.
